I was hoping to take some close ups of a few buds of this flower outside of the house. I was lucky enough to stumble on a rather slow fly.
Another closeup of the fly.
A budding flower - the dead bud is almost as interesting a subject.
A silver bar that is embedded in the concrete of a neighbors house. The gouges are a record of the years people have been trying to steal it. No one has even come close. Whatever the material used to house it, it seems impenetrable.
Another closeup of the silver bar.
The last of the fly........
An extremely large spider that has made it's home near the front door of my parents house! We woke up the other day to find it spun a strange looking web across the doorway. I was fully prepared to jump the backyard fence to get to my car!
A closer shot of it's shield-like head and banana shaped torso (where it gets it's name). It is also commonly called a Yellow Garden Spider.
